Nizamuddin Bridge coming from Trans Yamuna areas on National Hightway 24 will be under repairs from 3 Feb 2012 for about 1 month.

2 Lanes at a time will be under repairs resulting into less space being available for traffic to move.  Delhi Traffic Police will make extensive arrangements  to minimize inconvenience to people by making 4 lanes for movement from trans-Yamuna area to main delhi side in morning nd 4 lanes fro ging back to trans-Yamuna in the evening.

As consequence traffic congestion is expected at Nizamuddin Bridge and areas on both sides of the bridge namely Ring Road, Noida Link Road and NH-24.

People are advised to take alternative routes including Kalindi Kunj, Delhi Noide Delhi flyway, Geeta colony and ISBT flyovers for their journey from trans-Yamuna area to main Delhi and vice versa.

The repairs are likely to take about a month. People should plan their journeys if they cross Nizamuddin Bridge depending upon which time of the day they happen to be near the bridge.

General Public and motorist are advised to avoid the above mentioned route and follow the directions of Traffic Policemen posted there.  They should uses public transport including Delhi Metro to avoid inconvenience.
