Delhi: Blueline kills 2 more in city
New Delhi: Six people died in six separate accidents including two blueline accidents in the capital in last 24-hours. In the first incident,Umesh Sharma(40), was crushed by a blueline, route number 539 from Mahrauli to Nangloi at 7.30 in the morning. The victim was on the bike and was taking a turn near the Shivram Park T-junction, Nangloi when he was hit by the bus coming from the other side. Sharma died on the spot and his body was taken to BJRM hospital for a post mortem. The driver of the bus was arrested and the bus was impounded.
In the second incident, another blueline plying on route number 770 from Palam village to Ambedkar Stadium, crushed an unidentified victim opposite Krishi Bhawan at 4.30 in the evening on Monday. The victim died on the spot and the driver absconded, leaving the bus behind which was impounded.
In the third accident,Manoj Kumar(25) from Mathura was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Nihal Vihar fire station in Paschim Vihar on Sunday night. Kumar was a priest at the Durga Mata temple and was accompanied by a child. The child suffered minor injuries, while Kumar succumb to his injuries later.
A 27-year-old man, Javed Khan was crushed by a trailer near Sindhu border at Narela. Khan was heading towards Sonipat. He was a student in Delhi and travelled every day on his bike. The driver of the trailer absconded from the scene and the trailer was impounded. Khan was taken to BJRM hospital for a post mortem.
A 24-year-old auto rickshaw driver, Rizwan was hit by a tempo at Seemapuri around 2 in the moring. The victim died on the spot and was taken to GTB hospital for a post mortem. The driver of the tempo has been arrested. Another 25-year-old man, Vinod Kumar was crushed by a Tata 407 at Kanjhawala around 7.20 in the morning. The victim was walking from Sultanpuri side and rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where he died. The driver of the vehicle is absconding.
